Reuven Paz

Reuven Paz (born 14 November 1950) is an Israeli scholar specializing in Islam and Islamic movements in the Arab and Muslim world, the Arab minority in Israel and Islamic Fundamentalism.[1] He has previously been head of the research department for Israeli General Security Service. He has also previously lectured at the University of Haifa, and the Academic Director for the International Policy Institute for Counter-Terrorism.[2]

Paz was born in Haifa and received a Ph. D. from the University of Haifa in Middle Eastern History. Paz has published over twenty-one academic articles relating to the topics mentioned above. He has also written four books relating to the Islamic movement and given expert testimony in court cases in the United States on several occasions.
